Will grading my coursework cause Turnitin or another plagiarism checker to flag it?

No. RevisionDojo does not submit your draft to Turnitin, publish it, or add it to a plagiarism comparison database. A later checker may still identify source matches already present in your writing, but using the Coursework Grader does not create a new match.

Will the grader make my work look AI-generated?

Accepted Answer

Receiving a grade and feedback does not alter your original document. If you copy AI-written suggestions into your draft, a detector may assess that new wording differently, so use the feedback to revise in your own voice.

Who can see an individual coursework submission?

Accepted Answer

A submission made in the individual Coursework Grader is tied to the account that uploaded it. Other students and ordinary teachers cannot open it. Coursework submitted through a school classroom or bulk-grading workflow is different: the authorized teacher can see that classroom submission and its report.

Question 4

How long is my uploaded coursework kept?

Accepted Answer

The individual grader selects “Delete my file after 48 hours” by default. When selected, the original file expires after 48 hours, while the grade, comments and annotations remain in your account. You can untick the option before submitting if you need the file to remain available, and you can delete the whole submission at any time.

Question 5

Will using RevisionDojo's AI detector make my work show up as AI at school?

Accepted Answer

No. Running a scan does not change your text, attach a hidden AI marker, or register the document with other detectors. A school detector will assess the version it receives using its own model and rules.

Question 6

Will my school get the same AI score as RevisionDojo?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. AI detectors are probabilistic and different services can return different scores for the same passage. A high score is not proof that AI was used, and a low score is not a guarantee that another detector will agree.

Question 7

Is my text added to a plagiarism database when I scan it?

Accepted Answer

No. The checker compares your text with published sources but does not publish your work or add it to a student-paper repository. Scanning on RevisionDojo therefore does not create a future self-match in Turnitin or a similar repository.

Can I delete an AI or plagiarism scan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Completed scans stay in Scan History so you can reopen them. Open a scan, choose More, then Delete to permanently remove it from your account.

Are student documents shared with third parties?

Accepted Answer

They are not shared broadly or sold. Content is sent only to service providers that help deliver the feature you request. For example, AI-writing and plagiarism checks use specialist detection providers, while grading and Jojo use AI providers. Our Subprocessors page lists the companies and their purposes.

How are uploaded documents protected?

Accepted Answer

Uploads travel over encrypted connections and are stored in access-controlled cloud systems. RevisionDojo checks account or classroom permissions on the server before returning a private file, report or chat.

Question 11

Is student work used to train AI models?

Accepted Answer

No. RevisionDojo does not use coursework, checker text or Jojo conversations to train AI models, and the providers processing these features are not permitted to use that content for model training.

Question 12

Can RevisionDojo staff access my content?

Accepted Answer

Access is limited to authorized staff who need it for purposes such as investigating a support request, protecting the service, handling safety concerns or meeting legal obligations. It is not made available to other students or ordinary school staff.

Can my teacher or school read my personal Jojo chats?

Accepted Answer

No. Personal Jojo chats are tied to your RevisionDojo account. Joining a school or classroom does not give a teacher access to those transcripts.

Question 14

What can a teacher see through classroom features?

Accepted Answer

Teachers can see work and progress that belongs to their classroom, such as an assignment response or a submission made through the classroom bulk grader. That does not turn your separate personal Jojo history into a teacher-visible transcript.

Question 15

When can somebody else see a Jojo chat?

Accepted Answer

A personal chat becomes viewable outside your account only when you deliberately make it public and share its link. Anyone with that link can then read it, so check the conversation before you share.

Question 16

Can I delete a Jojo chat?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can delete an individual chat from your chat history. Deleting your RevisionDojo account also removes the chats connected to that account, subject to the limited retention described in our Privacy Policy.
